1. Shark Boy pins “The Future” Frankie Kazarian with the Dead Sea Drop at 10:03.

Analysis: We kick off this PPV with a pretty interesting matchup. These two men have been going at it for the last few weeks and face off here to settle their issues. Shark Boy gets a good pop from the crowd while Kazarian gets a mixed reaction from the crowd. The two men lock up to start with Kazarian going behind Shark Boy who turns it around and Kazarian works the arm, and Shark Boy rolls through and takes control of the arm as Kazarian flips through and trips Shark Boy up. Shark Boy kicks Kazarian away and Kazarian nips up as they have a standoff and Kazarian gets a kick in before knocking Shark Boy down, and Shark Boy reverses a whip and hits a hiptoss on Kazarian as he hits an armdrag and pounds on him in the corner. He whips Kazarian hard into the other corner as he sends him over the top to the floor and then he hits a slingshot plancha onto Kazarian on the floor, and Shark Boy rolls back into the ring and Kazarian gets on the apron as Shark Boy slingshots him back into the ring and Kazarian begs off. He sends Shark Boy into the corner and stomps on him repeatedly as Shark Boy escapes a slam attempt and hits an atomic drop, and he bites Kazarian on the ass and Kazarian goes outside to regroup as Shark Boy randomly bites the ref’s ass. Kazarian returns to the ring and hits a side dropkick on Shark Boy as he stomps on him in the corner and whips him into the other corner, and he splashes him for a two count and he whips Shark Boy into the corner as Shark Boy catches him with a back elbow. Kazarian catches him in a belly-to-belly suplex for a two count and hooks a submission on as Shark Boy fights to his feet and breaks the hold, and he catches Kazarian ducking with a kick only for Kazarian to backdrop Shark Boy over the top to the floor. He hits a baseball slide that sends Shark Boy into the barricade and he skins the cat back into the ring as Shark Boy gets on the apron and gets a shoulder in, and he attempts a slingshot sunset flip only for Kazarian to roll through and he catches a kick attempt as he hits a legsweep on Shark Boy. He hits a springboard legdrop on Shark Boy for a two count and stomps on him as he goes up top only to miss a legdrop, and Shark Boy fires up on Kazarian who reverses a whip and Shark Boy catches him ducking with a facebuster. He ducks a shot and hits a neckbreaker on Kazarian for a two count as he rams him into the buckle and pounds on him in the corner, and he bites Kazarian in the face and puts him on the top rope as he goes up himself and hits a hurricanrana for a two count. Kazarian flips over Shark Boy’s back and hits a pump kick for a two count as he whips him into the corner and catches him on a leap, and he hits an electric chair German suplex for a two count and whips Shark Boy into the corner as Shark Boy catches him with a boot to the face. He goes up to the middle rope and hits the Dead Sea Drop on Kazarian which gets the three and wins the match. The match itself was decent as both men worked hard and put on a basic match. Shark Boy was hitting his groove by this point while Kazarian was also getting into a groove, and they had decent chemistry as Shark Boy gets the clean win. The crowd was into the match and popped for Shark Boy when he won. Shark Boy gets the win over Kazarian and both men move on. Grade: 2

Mike Sanders comes down to the ring and says that he thinks everyone will agree with him that Disco Inferno is the biggest jackass in wrestling, and he says that as Commissioner he promises a great show as he runs down who will be on the card tonight. He says that the WWA Title will also be decided tonight between Sting and Lex Luger as Joe E. Legend comes down to the ring and says that he has no right to talk about anything without talking about him. He says that he won’t be treated like a loser and he is the best this industry offers as he says that Sanders should know he’s the best, and he says that he’s a great Canadian athlete and he takes care of business in the ring as he’s beaten guys like Buff Bagwell, Lex Luger, Sabu, and Sting. He says that he will take any jerk and punk them out as someone like him will live forever as Sanders mocks him, and he says that Legend hasn’t beaten him and Legend says Sanders doesn’t get in his face looking like he does and he will kick his face in. Sanders says he has something for him as he flips Legend off and he should change his name because he’s shit, and he says that he’s going to put on his gear and will whoop his ass like William Wallace kicked ass.

2. Konnan pins Nate “Spyder” Webb after a Death Valley Driver from Perry Saturn at :03.

Analysis: Our next match on the card is a pretty basic match. Konnan was floating in the midcard and looks to get a win here over Webb, who was a new face on the scene and looks to get an upset win here. Webb gets a decent pop from the crowd only for Perry Saturn to come into the ring and he hits a clothesline and modified suplex on Webb, and he tosses the ref to the mat and hits a pop-up powerbomb on Webb as he hoists him up and hits the Death Valley Driver before heading to the back as Konnan then comes out to a decent pop. Konnan wastes no time and goes right for the pin as he gets the three and wins the match. Obviously, there was no match as this was more about Saturn making an impact. The crowd was into Saturn’s destruction and do pop for Konnan when he won. Konnan gets the easy win over Webb and both men move on. Grade: N/A

After the match, Konnan joins the commentary table and plays up that he just had a hard match as he says this is his PPV debut in Glasgow and it’s about to pop off.

We see Midajah reading a book backstage as Teo walks up to her with a bouquet of flowers which he gives her and he asks if she would be his valet for tonight, but then Puppet comes in and says that she’s coming with him as she says she’s not a ho and they exchange shoves. Just then, Mike Sanders comes in and says that he will call up Willy Wonka and send them back to the chocolate factory, and he says that he’s the Commissioner and she will be the referee for their match tonight as she complains she’s not a referee.

3. Buff Bagwell and Johnny Swinger defeat Malice and “Screaming” Norman Smiley when Swinger pins Smiley at 10:00.

Analysis: Our next match on the card is our lone tag match of the night. These four men have been going at it in singles feuds and now they face off here in a tag match. Malice and Smiley get a good pop from the crowd while Bagwell and Swinger had solid heat as heels. Bagwell and Swinger waste no time and attack Smiley to start the match until Malice hoists Swinger up in a choke and slams him to the mat, and he nails Bagwell from behind and sends him to the outside as he regroups with Swinger before returning to the ring. Bagwell poses and Malice mocks Bagwell as they lock up with Malice shoving Bagwell into the corner, and Bagwell gets a kick in and pounds on Malice who reverses a whip and he hits a spinebuster on Bagwell. He hits a backbreaker on Bagwell who catches him with a jawbreaker and Swinger tags in as he pounds on Malice, and he hooks a headlock on Malice who escapes with a back suplex and he rams him into Smiley’s boot in the corner. Smiley tags in and hits a headbutt on Swinger as Malice chokes him from the apron and Smiley works on the arm, but Swinger escapes and knocks Smiley down though Smiley recovers with a dance and Swinger pounds on him. Smiley reverses a whip and Swinger catches him ducking with a backslide though Smiley rolls through and hits a double underhook suplex, and Swinger kicks at Smiley twice and pounds on him in the corner as he whips him into the other corner and Smiley leaps over him as he attempts a sunset flip. Swinger holds the ropes to block it until the ref kicks his hands off and Smiley hooks the sunset flip for a two count, and he hits a clothesline on Swinger and one on Bagwell as Swinger reverses a whip and Bagwell trips Smiley up from the floor. Swinger hits a modified jawbreaker on Smiley and Bagwell tags in as he pounds on Smiley and they hit a double back elbow, and Bagwell slams down on Smiley’s back twice and chokes him on the mat as he sends him into his corner. Swinger comes in and stomps on Smiley repeatedly as he pounds on him and chokes him with Bagwell doing the same from the apron, and Swinger continues to choke Smiley and hooks a front facelock on as Smiley reaches for his corner only for Bagwell to tag in. He kicks at Smiley and knocks him down as he rams him into the buckle and hits a clothesline before stomping on him, and he chokes him on the mat until Malice breaks it up and Bagwell argues with the ref as he whips Smiley into the other corner. Swinger tags in and hits a clothesline on Smiley for a two count as he chokes him on the mat and puts him in the ropes, and Bagwell chokes Smiley from the floor and tags in as he pounds on Smiley and rams him into the buckle. He whips Smiley into the other corner and Smiley attempts a fake out only for Bagwell to hook a small package for a two count and both men clothesline each other, and Malice gets the hot tag and ducks a shot as he hits a pair of big boots on both men and fires up on them. He hits a slam on Swinger and clotheslines Bagwell over the top to the floor as he goes outside and pounds on Bagwell, and Smiley comes in and hits a back elbow on Swinger who ducks a shot only for Smiley to hit the spinning slam. Bagwell sends Malice into the steps as Smiley does the Big Wiggle to Swinger who catches him with a low blow, and Bagwell goes up to the middle rope and hits the Buff Blockbuster on Smiley which gets the three and he wins the match. The match itself was decent as both teams worked hard and put on a basic match. Smiley and Malice looked decent as a team as did Bagwell and Swinger though it looked like Malice was the only one who had any energy, and they had decent chemistry as Bagwell and Swinger get the win. The crowd was into the match and Smiley and Malice, but are not happy when Swinger and Bagwell win. Bagwell and Swinger get the win over Smiley and Malice as both teams move on. Grade: 1.5

After the match, Bagwell and Swinger celebrate until Malice sends Swinger to the outside and he hits a clothesline on Bagwell who rolls outside and heads to the back with Swinger.

Scott D’Amore interviews Jeff Jarrett, who says that he took a 15-hour flight here to Glasgow and tonight is about retribution, and he says that he will get retribution tonight against Nathan Jones and to defend the NWA World Heavyweight Title.

After the match, Perry Saturn runs down to the ring and kicks Teo in the face as he hoists Puppet up and hits a front slam, and then he hoists Teo onto his shoulders and hits the Death Valley Driver as he hooks the Rings of Saturn on Puppet. He takes the mike and says that he was in the back signing a contract with the WWA as he can do whatever he wants, and he says that he will kick ass and take names as he looks at Midajah and says that he will make a name and take some ass. He grabs Midajah who slaps him in the face and he grabs her by the hair as he teases hitting her only to plant a kiss on her before dragging her to the back.

Analysis: Our next match on the card is a pretty interesting matchup. These two men had a confrontation earlier in the night and now they face off here to settle their issues. Sanders gets a good pop from the crowd while Legend had decent heat as a heel. Legend wastes no time and pulls Sanders down from the middle rope to start the match as he pounds on him in the corner, but Sanders ducks a shot and pounds on Legend in the corner as he whips him into the other corner and Legend backdrops him over the top with Sanders landing on the apron. Sanders was still decent in the ring by this point while Legend was also serviceable, and they had decent chemistry with Sanders getting the clean win. The crowd was into the match and popped for Sanders when he won. Sanders gets the win over Legend and both men move on. Grade: 2

After the match, Sanders takes the mike and says that he wants to give Glasgow what they want as he is putting Perry Saturn in the match with Sabu and Simon Diamond, making it a Triple Threat match and it will also be a Hardcore match.

He walks away as Perry Saturn and Midajah leave a room and walk past D’Amore as Midajah asks for help only for Saturn to pull her away.

He pounds on Sabu in the corner and Sabu reverses a whip into the other corner as he hits a springboard DDT on Diamond, and Saturn grabs a chair and gets on the apron only for Sabu to kick him to the floor and he grabs the chair which he sets up. Saturn and Diamond argue on the floor until Sabu hits a triple jump somersault senton onto both men on the floor, and Sabu rolls back into the ring as Saturn and Diamond surround him until Sabu grabs the chair and throws it at Saturn’s head. Diamond nails Sabu from behind and pounds on him until Sabu gets a shot in and hits a snapmare as he hits a springboard legdrop for a two count, and Saturn gets in the ring and hits a superkick on Sabu as he grabs the chair and jabs it into Sabu’s throat. He clotheslines Diamond over the top to the floor and hooks a submission on Sabu who is bleeding from the mouth, and he hits a modified suplex on Sabu and then he hits a brainbuster as he goes back to the submission on Sabu. Sabu fights out of the hold and hits a clothesline on Saturn as Diamond gets in the ring and knocks Sabu down, and Diamond hits a Russian legsweep on Sabu and hooks a submission on as Saturn hits a springboard twisting splash on both men. He goes up to the middle rope only for Sabu to toss the chair at his face and then he sets the chair up, and he hits the Triple Jump Moonsault on Diamond which gets the three and he wins the match. The match itself was good as all three men worked hard and put on a solid match. All three men were still pretty serviceable at this point and they had decent chemistry though it did feel disjointed to some extent, and Saturn felt like an afterthought after being a focal point the whole show and it was more about Sabu getting the win. The crowd was into the match and popped for Sabu when he won. Sabu gets the win over Saturn and Diamond as all three men move on. Grade: 3

Scott D’Amore interviews Sting, who says that he knows Lex Luger pretty good as they spent 15 years together in the business traveling the world, and he says they’ve been through it all which built character and he also built his character being a dad and a husband. He asks if Luger’s character has been built sitting at home and he knows it drives Luger nuts as he will see him in a few moments and it’s showtime.

8. “The Total Package” Lex Luger pins Sting after a guitar shot from Jeff Jarrett at 7:09 to win the vacant WWA World Heavyweight Championship.

Title Vacancy: The WWA Championship was vacated by Scott Steiner on 10/20/02 due to him signing with WWE

Analysis: After a fairly quick and interesting night of wrestling, we come to our main event. Sting and Luger have been out of the spotlight for the last 2 years and now they face off here to see who will become the new WWA Champion. Sting gets a big pop from the crowd while Luger gets a mixed reaction from the crowd. The two men shake hands to start the match and Sting hands Luger the bat as he teases hitting Sting with it only to give it back to him, and Luger charges only for Sting to avoid him as he kicks at Luger’s knees repeatedly and pounds on him. He hits a standing dropkick on Luger who rolls outside to regroup before returning to the ring and Sting hits a drop toehold, and he pounds on Luger and hits a clothesline as Luger rolls outside again to regroup and he grabs the mike. He says that he sees that Sting will cheat and cut corners so he will play that game here in Glasgow, England as he hands the mike back, but then Sting takes the mike and says that this is Scotland as he says he’s in the house and Luger is in dire need of a Glasgow Kiss. Luger gets on the apron and Sting hits a headbutt as he stomps Luger to the floor until Luger trips him up and pulls him outside, and Sting reverses a whip and sends Luger into the barricade only to miss the Stinger Splash as he lands on the barricade. Luger throws Sting back into the ring and tosses him into the corner as he whips Sting into the other corner and Sting catches him with a boot to the face, and he kicks Luger to the mat and goes up top only for Luger to get his knees up on a splash attempt and he hits a low blow on Sting. He kicks at Sting repeatedly and drops an elbow on him for a two count as Sting ducks two shots and both men collide heads, and Luger falls to the mat and Sting hits a falling headbutt to Luger’s groin as he hits an atomic drop and a pair of clotheslines on Luger. He kicks at Luger and hits a running bulldog only for Luger to pull the ref in the way of the Stinger Splash, but then Jeff Jarrett comes down to the ring with the guitar as Sting looks for the Stinger Splash only for Jarrett to break the guitar over his head. He shoves Luger on top of Sting for a two count and Luger hoists Sting up for the Torture Rack only for Sting to kick the ref down and he escapes, and he hits the Scorpion Deathdrop on Luger only for Jarrett to bring a second guitar into the ring and he breaks it over Sting’s head before putting Luger on top which gets the three and we have a new champion. The match itself was nothing much as Sting pretty much dominated the match until the end when Jarrett cost him and helped Luger win. The crowd was into the match and Sting, but are not happy when Luger wins. Luger gets the win over Sting thanks to Jarrett and is the new WWA Champion as this issue isn’t over yet. Grade: 1

After the match, Luger celebrates with the title as we go off the air.

Final Analysis: Overall, the fourth PPV in WWA’s history is probably the worst one to this point and the bar was already low to begin with. Obviously, it doesn’t hurt that whenever they try to run with someone on top, they leave with the most recent being Scott Steiner and it leaves some big holes to fill with a roster thin enough to begin with. We did have two title matches as Luger is now the man while Jarrett retains his title and Shark Boy, Konnan, Bagwell, Swinger, Teo, Sanders, and Sabu get big wins, and in terms of the matches the triple threat was the best while the rest ranged from average to pretty poor. As mentioned, the company was probably banking on Steiner being their flagship guy though now that he’s gone, it will be interesting to see how much longer this company lasts now with TNA and ROH gaining steam. As for this show, it is a pretty dismal show and could be the beginning of the end for WWA. Final Grade: D-
