1. Chris Jericho and Christian defeat the Dudley Boyz when Bubba Ray taps out at 9:43 to retain the World Tag Team Championships.

Analysis: We kick off this edition of RAW with our first title match of the night. Jericho and Christian have been rolling as tag champions and face a tough challenge here in the Dudleyz, who reunited back at Survivor Series and look to become champions once again. The Dudleyz get a big pop from the crowd while Jericho and Christian were red hot as heels. D-Von starts off the match with Jericho and they exchange shoves with D-Von pounding on Jericho as he hits a clothesline, and he pounds on Jericho in the corner and whips him into the other corner as Jericho catches him with a boot to the face. He goes up to the middle rope and drives the elbow into D-Von’s head as Christian tags in and kicks at D-Von, and he pounds on D-Von who reverses a whip and he hits a spinning back elbow on Christian as Bubba tags in. He pounds on Christian in the corner and whips him into the other corner as he splashes him and gets a kick in before hitting a neckbreaker for a two count, and D-Von tags in and they hit a double flapjack on Christian for a two count as D-Von avoids an elbow from Jericho who hits Christian by mistake. D-Von pounds on Jericho in the corner and Christian gets a shot in as he hits a modified backbreaker and tags Jericho, and he stomps on D-Von repeatedly and hits a back suplex as he drops a trio of elbows on him for a two count. He nails D-Von and tags Christian as D-Von tries to battle back only for Christian to get a knee in and he rakes his boot across D-Von’s face, and he pounds on D-Von in the corner only for D-Von to escape as he gets a shot in and hits a hanging neckbreaker. Bubba gets the hot tag and hits a pair of clotheslines on Jericho as he hits a pair of backdrops on both men and then he hits a slam on Jericho, and he goes up to the middle rope only to miss the senton as Christian pulls Jericho out of the way in time. They pound on Bubba as D-Von makes a blind tag and Bubba catches Christian ducking with a kick and he hits a DDT on Jericho, and he sends Christian over the top to the floor as D-Von goes up top and hits a flying clothesline on Jericho before hitting a powerslam for a two count. Jericho trips D-Von up and looks for the Walls of Jericho as Christian reverses a whip and sends Bubba into the steps, and D-Von hooks a small package on Jericho for a two count and both men attempt a whip as D-Von catches Jericho ducking with a kick. Christian gets on the apron and Jericho avoids a charge from D-Von as he rams him into Christian and hooks a rollup which gets the three and they seemingly retain the titles, but then Eric Bischoff and Sean Morley come out on the stage as Morley officially announces that he is Bischoff’s Chief of Staff. He says that since both D-Von and Jericho’s shoulders were on the mat during the pin, he is ordering the match to continue as Jericho and Christian return to the ring and Jericho sends Bubba into the steps. He throws Bubba back into the ring and hooks a submission on as Bubba fights to his feet and breaks the hold, but Jericho catches him ducking with a kick only for Bubba to hit a Samoan drop and D-Von gets the hot tag as he fires up on Christian. He ducks a shot and hits a neckbreaker on Christian who counters a whip only for D-Von to hit a sidewalk slam for a two count with Jericho breaking it up, and Bubba nails Jericho and backdrops him over the top to the floor as the Dudleyz hit the 3-D on Christian with Bubba getting the three and we seemingly have new champions. But then, Morley comes back out and says that the rules were violated again in that Bubba was not the legal man and the match must continue, and Jericho nails D-Von from behind and sends him to the outside as Bubba hits a clothesline and pounds on Jericho in the corner. Jericho reverses a whip into the other corner and Bubba catches him with a boot to the face as Jericho ducks a shot and hits a sleeper slam for a two count, and he pounds on Bubba and chokes him on the ropes as he gets a knee in though Bubba ducks a shot. He pounds on Jericho and drives the elbow into his head as he hits a slam and holds his legs up while D-Von goes up top, and he hits the diving headbutt to Jericho’s groin and Bubba calls for the table as D-Von goes outside and pulls a table out. Christian gets in the ring and hits a baseball slide which drives the table into D-Von as Bubba clotheslines Christian over the top to the floor, and Jericho hits the running bulldog on Bubba who gets his knees up on a Lionsault attempt and he hits a spear for a two count. He ducks a shot and looks for the Bubba Bomb though Jericho grabs the ref to block it and hits a low blow, and Christian gets on the apron with one of the belts and hits Bubba in the back of the head with it as Jericho trips Bubba up and hooks the Walls of Jericho on with Bubba tapping out and they retain the titles. The match itself was decent as both teams worked hard and put on a basic title match. The Dudleyz were getting back into a groove as a team while Jericho and Christian were hitting their stride as a team, but the two false finishes did hurt the match and it could’ve been better without them. The crowd was into the match and the Dudleyz, but are not happy when Christian and Jericho retain. Christian and Jericho retain the titles over the Dudleyz though this issue isn’t over yet. Grade: 2

The match itself was pretty much a squash as Richards got a few shots in, but he puts Test over strong in 3 minutes. The crowd was into the match and did pop for Test when he won. They yell for D-Von to give them their stuff as the door opens and Bubba screams at them as he closes the door before they can get inside.

Christopher Nowinski comes out for his match with a book in his hand and then Maven comes down to the ring as Nowinski rolls outside and grabs a mike, and he says that before they start he wants to savor this moment because this will be the last time anyone can say that Maven is better than him. He says that the only reason Maven won Tough Enough was because of politics as he played the sympathy card by letting the judges know that his mother was sick, and then Maven hits a suicide dive onto Nowinski and pounds on him until Nowinski battles back and Maven gets a series of knees in. He knocks Nowinski down and rams him into the apron as Nowinski grabs the book and hits Maven in the head with it, and he heads to the back as officials come out and check on Maven.

Analysis: Our next match on the card is our second title match of the night. Victoria defeated Stratus at Survivor Series to win the Women’s Title and now Stratus gets her rematch here. Stratus gets a big pop from the crowd while Victoria was pretty hot as a heel. Michaels shocked the world by winning the World Title at Survivor Series and looks to have a successful defense here against RVD, who was looking for another chance to become champion and gets it here. Both men get a big pop from the crowd and they are pretty split for the whole match. The two men lock up to start with Michaels hooking a headlock and he goes behind RVD who turns it around, and Michaels turns it back around and works the arm as RVD hits a pair of back elbows only for Michaels to hit a dropkick. He goes back to the headlock and takes him to the mat as RVD escapes with a headscissors and Michaels flips on top of him for a two count, and RVD bridges up and hooks a backslide for a two count as he kicks at Michaels twice and pounds on him. The match itself was good as both men worked hard and put on a solid title match. Michaels was slowly getting back into a groove while RVD was hitting his groove and they had good chemistry, but this could’ve used a few more minutes to get to the next level even though you knew RVD probably wouldn’t win the title. The crowd was into the match and both men, but are not happy with the ending. RVD gets the win by DQ and Michaels retains the title as both men move on. Grade: 2.5

Final Analysis: Overall, this edition of RAW was a pretty solid show to close out what was a pretty strong month in November. After a red hot Survivor Series, RAW has been working itself into a groove going into Armageddon and while that show had no matches set up yet, it was pretty clear the direction that we were going. Michaels is still the man while Jericho, Christian, and Victoria retain their titles and Test, Storm, Regal, Batista, Goldust, and RVD get big wins, and in terms of the matches the main event and opener were the best as the highlights were the Dudleyz embarrassing Jericho and Christian as well as Triple H’s return. 2002 has been an interesting year to this point with some new faces making their name and both brands establishing their identity, and as we head into December we will see how the year ends for both brands. As for this show, it is a pretty solid show as we leave November and head into December. Final Grade: C+
