Actual Show:
We see the opening video for RAW.
Your hosts are Jim Ross and Jerry “The King” Lawler.
Eric Bischoff comes out on the stage and welcomes everyone to RAW as he says that he promises everyone a historic evening, and he says that the Hardcore Title and Intercontinental Title will be combined tonight as Tommy Dreamer will face Rob Van Dam. He says that they are going to honor a special Hall of Famer with a lifetime achievement award and he wants to now introduce the new Undisputed WWE Champion, Brock Lesnar who comes down to the ring along with Paul Heyman. Heyman says that they stand here on the sacred ground of Madison Square Garden and you can take Bruno Sammartino, Billy Graham, and Hulk Hogan, and you can combine them and they wouldn’t equal Lesnar as he says that he told everyone and no one listened to him. He says that he said Lesnar was the Next Big Thing and no one listened as he told everyone Lesnar would win KOTR, and he says no one listened as he said that Lesnar would destroy the myth of Hulkamania and no one listened. He says that he told everyone that Lesnar would win the Undisputed Title and no one listened as he says that everyone should learn to listen, and Lesnar says that he’s 25 years old and is the youngest Undisputed Champion in history as no one can beat him. Just then, Shawn Michaels’ music hits only for Triple H to come out on the stage and he mocks Michaels as he says that’s the last time everyone will hear that music, and he says that last night he crippled Shawn Michaels as Michaels didn’t belong in the same ring as him and now Michaels will never wrestle again. He says that Michaels will probably never be able to walk again and he says that Lesnar is just a boy at 25 years old, and he says that he is also the Undisputed Champion though he wouldn’t be champion if it wasn’t for him. He says that he would soften Rock up for him and he did though he also told Lesnar that if he came out here tonight with the belt, he would be waiting as he comes down to the ring and he says that Lesnar owes him. He says that he wants to know one thing and that’s if Lesnar is man enough to play the Game as the Undertaker comes down to the ring, and he says the way he sees it is Triple H has it all wrong as he gets first crack at the young blood because as Number One Contender, he needs to know if Lesnar is the Next Big Thing or Next Big Bitch. He gets in Lesnar’s face only for Triple H to nail him from behind and they pound and stomp on Taker in the corner, and Lesnar and Triple H have a staredown until Taker grabs Triple H by the throat and throws him into the corner. He then grabs Lesnar and throws him into Triple H as he hits a clothesline on Lesnar and pounds on Triple H in the corner, and he pounds on Lesnar and splashes both men in the corners as he clotheslines Triple H over the top to the floor. He gets in Lesnar’s face and slaps him in the face twice before hitting a big boot which sends him over the top to the floor, and Triple H gets back in the ring and squares off with Taker before getting out of the ring and heading to the back.

He says that Snuka is just like Ric Flair in that they may be popular, but they don’t deserve special treatment and he’s the one that deserves an award as he won the match at Summerslam, and he says that he made Flair tap out and he has the footage from last night played while he narrates it. He says that he made Flair tap out to his own move yet Flair was awarded the match and he will take his anger out on Flair’s buddy Jeff Hardy, and he says that since Flair rudely interrupted his concert last week he will give the Fozzy fans a treat by singing his version of “New York, New York” which he does.

Analysis: Our last match before the main event is a pretty interesting matchup. These two have been going at it for the last few weeks over who should be the ring announcer for RAW, and now they face off here to determine who that will be as one will be humiliated. He looks for the Pedigree only for Taker to escape with a backdrop as Lesnar gets in the ring and hits Taker in the head with the belt which allows Triple H to get the three and he wins the match. She says that Lesnar is now exclusive to Smackdown as he and Heyman get in the limo and she says this is the last night RAW will have the Undisputed WWE Champion on the show, and she asks how her peaches taste now as she gets in the limo and drives off while Bischoff is left stewing and we go off the air.
9/1 Sunday Night Heat taping:
1. Goldust pins Johnny "The Bull” Stamboli at 5:21.
2. Steven Richards pins Crash Holly at 3:52.
3. Bradshaw pins Justin Credible at 3:27.
4. D-Lo Brown pins Raven at 5:30.
Final Analysis: Overall, this edition of RAW coming off an excellent Summerslam was a pretty solid show with a few big moments on it. After a fantastic show in Summerslam, things now seem to be sliding into place for both brands though we did have a major moment happen here that would case a major shift going forward. We did have one title match as RVD still rules the midcard while Booker, the Dudleyz, Jeff, Garcia, and Triple H get big wins, and the matches were pretty standard for TV as the big moment was the revelation that the Undisputed Title would now be exclusive to Smackdown leaving RAW with no World Champion. 2002 has been an interesting year to this point as both brands were shaping themselves up pretty well and after what has been a chaotic summer, we will see how the rest of the year plays out. As for this show, it is a pretty solid show with a few big moments though the next week would provide a much bigger moment. Final Grade: B-
