Vince McMahon and the WWF roster come down to the ring as Vince says that he’s happy to report at Survivor Series, the WWF will wipe the Alliance off the face of the earth and with it, the two headed-monster that is Shane and Stephanie McMahon. He says that last week on Smackdown, Shane pinned his mother’s arms behind her and Stephanie slapped her which will not go unpunished, and he says that Shane and Stephanie can hear him and they are worrying about Survivor Series though Shane should worry about the ass kicking he will get tonight. He says that as far as Survivor Series is concerned, he wants to introduce Team WWF as the 5 members will represent the WWF in an elimination match to determine who will win it all, and he reveals the team to be the Undertaker, Kane, Kurt Angle, Chris Jericho, and the Rock as they all get in the ring. Just then, Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley comes out on the stage and says that she’s sorry to interrupt, but she has an announcement as she and Shane might be ruthless, but they are also successful. She says that they are also clever as she brings up what happened last week on Smackdown and they set Vince up good as she shows the footage, and she says that if she and Shane are capable of doing that to their mother then Vince needs to think about what they can do at Survivor Series. She says that Linda is at home in fear and she wants to dedicate the Street Fight to her mom as she hopes Linda enjoys Shane destroying Vince on TV, and she then brings out Shane McMahon who comes out on the stage and says that nothing will give him more pleasure than tearing Vince apart tonight. He says that there is one thing that will give him great pleasure and this is big because tonight, a member of the WWF will defect to the Alliance and he happens to be looking at that person right now as he tells Vince to chew on that.

1. Edge pins Rob Van Dam with the Edgecution at 5:26 to retain the WWF Intercontinental Championship.
Analysis: We kick off this edition of RAW with our first title match of the night. Edge has been rolling as IC Champion and faces a tough challenge here in RVD, who was rolling as Hardcore Champion and looks to become a double champion. Both men get a good pop from the crowd and they are pretty split for the whole match. The two men lock up to start with RVD hooking a headlock and he knocks Edge down as he does a backflip over him and gets a kick in, and he does a split only for Edge to hit a low dropkick and he hits a flapjack on RVD before stomping on him in the corner. He pounds on him as RVD reverses a whip into the other corner and attempts a rolling monkey flip though Edge lands on his feet, and RVD ducks a shot and catches a kick attempt as he hits a spin kick on Edge who rolls out to the apron. We see Steve Austin and Debra watching on the monitor as Austin says RVD makes him sick by losing to Edge, but then Tazz comes in and asks who is jumping from the WWF as Austin asks if he’s supposed to tell him everything he knows. Tazz says that he deserves to know and Austin’s watch is saying Austin should tell him who’s jumping, and Austin says that his watch is really saying that if a nosy person would leave his dressing room because he’s getting on his nerves and Tazz does so.

Just then, the Big Show comes down to the ring as Page gets excited and says that he likes Show as he knows Show likes him too, and he says that together in the Alliance he will help Show like himself and welcomes him to the Alliance only for Show to grab him by the throat and he hits the Chokeslam.

After the match, Shane and Austin celebrate with Angle as we go off the air.
Final Analysis: Overall, this edition of RAW was a pretty solid episode with a chaotic ending that has seemingly changed the foundation of the invasion. Knowing that Survivor Series was going to be the end of this feud, it was going to be interesting to see how things would build to the PPV and we saw a big moment occur here. We had four title matches as Rock, Jericho, Edge, Angle, and the Dudleyz retain their titles while Hurricane, Molly, Lita, and Shane get big wins, and the matches were solid for TV as the big moment was Angle turning on the WWF and joining the Alliance. 2001 has been a great year for the WWF as the invasion has dominated most of the year and as we come to the end of the year, we will see if the feud can end on a strong note after starting to cool off a bit. As for this show, it is a solid show that continues the build to Survivor Series though there is some uncertainly with the WWF. Final Grade: C+
