The match itself was decent as both men worked hard and put on a decent match. Commercial break
Paul Heyman comes down to the ring and says that in a few moments, he will call Vince McMahon out to the ring in front of the public on his show owned by his company at least until this Sunday, and he says that he knows everyone appreciates what he, Shane, and Stephanie have done in standing up to the tyranny of Vince and the WWF will die this Sunday. He says that it’s not his fault as he’s not the one who ruined everything that was accomplished by Steve Austin, and he says that it means more than just the personalities involved as it is about ending what Vince has tried to accomplish. He says that he listened to Mick Foley on Monday and agreed with everything Foley had to say in that the WWF sucks, and he says that anyone who’s watched sees that Vince has lost his mind and is a has-been as his ideas are old and Foley was right to call it out because the WWF is imploding from within like every great empire. He says that Vince’s loyal employees have left him and even his own children want him to burn in hell as Vince will see the WWF die this Sunday, and he says that he has no hope to save his company as he has the same chances of saving the WWF as when he realized his dream of starting a football league. Just then, Vince McMahon comes down to the ring and Heyman says that he was just on his knees because Vince is used to men kissing his ass, and he says that in the back there are people like Patterson and Brisco sucking up to him and kissing his ass. He says that Vince is all about that because he is a billionaire and the creator of sports-entertainment, and he says that he’s waited a long time to say that he hates Vince’s guts as do his children and they will do to Vince what he’s been waiting to see someone do to him. He says that Vince is the most disgusting, vile, son of a bitch he’s ever seen and he took Hulk Hogan’s blood to build Titan Towers, and he says that he stole Bret Hart’s dream and bought an empire with the WWF logo all over it. He says that Vince knows he did that as he stole Shawn Michaels’ smile to go public and become a billionaire, and he says that Vince isn’t self-made because he’s built himself on other people’s work. He says that Vince’s father went around and shook hands with every promoter in the country by swearing never to compete against them, and after Vince’s father died Vince competed and drove everyone out of business while stealing all their ideas. He says that Vince stole his ideas the most as he doesn’t care about Don Owen or Jim Crockett, he cares about how Vince stole his ideas and his legacy as well as everything that ECW represented. He says that while Doink the Clown had green hair and a rubber nose, Steve Austin was drinking his first beer in ECW and while Bobby Heenan and Gene Okerlund were dancing around, ECW was producing the edgy content that Vince would call “Attitude”. He says that Vince stole his life and money as he tells him that Vince’s children hate his guts and will get even with him, and he says that Vince flaunts his affairs in front of his wife and children to read as he points to Tazz at the table. He says that Tazz was a killer and a wrestler in ECW though wrestling is a dirty word to Vince as his father built a wrestling company, but Vince had to have sports-entertainment and Tazz was a great wrestler and man though now he’s an obnoxious color commentator whose not even that good. He says that Vince made wrestling a dirty and he asks what kind of man is Vince to take wrestling and make it sports-entertainment, but then Tazz leaves the table and gets in the ring as Heyman says that Vince is going down on Sunday and he promises to watch it. He says that Vince’s children will stand over his grave and laugh as he will rip Vince apart and he can’t do anything about it, but then Tazz hooks the Tazzmission on Heyman as Vince takes the mike and says that this Sunday, the Alliance will choke.

He says that Survivor Series is important and Angle says if they don’t win, they’re out of a job as Rock and Jericho think their so cool though they are not cool like them.
We see Torrie Wilson getting ready as Commissioner Regal comes up behind her and says that while her and Tajiri will get a sound beating tonight, he would still like to wish her luck as she says that she realized Regal is a pompous ass and Regal says after Survivor Series, Tajiri will be incapable of working after the beating he gets though she can work for him if she wants.

Final Analysis: Overall, this edition of Smackdown was a pretty solid episode to serve as the final push to Survivor Series. The invasion has been going strong since the summer and now as we head into Survivor Series, it was going to finally come to an end with either the WWF or the Alliance going down once and for all. We had no title matches on this show as RVD, the Hardyz, Edge, Show, Booker, Regal, Ivory, Rock, and Jericho get big wins, and in terms of the matches the main event was the best as the show was mainly focused on Survivor Series with a great highlight in Heyman’s promo. 2001 has been a great year for the WWF as they were still churning out good content with the invasion though it seemed like it was finally time to bring it to an end, and now we will see if the angle can end on a strong note. As for this show, it is a solid show that serves as a good final push to Survivor Series and the end of the invasion. Final Grade: B-
