Analysis: We kick off this edition of RAW with our lone title match of the night. RVD, Kane, and Jericho were preparing for the Elimination Chamber in 6 days and they face off here with RVD and Kane teaming up against Jericho and Christian for the tag titles. RVD and Kane get big pops from the crowd while Jericho and Christian were pretty hot as heels. RVD starts off the match with Jericho and they lock up with Jericho hooking a headlock as he goes behind RVD, and they trade momentum until Jericho goes back to the headlock and knocks RVD down only for RVD to nip up. He leaps over Jericho and flips over his back as he hits a spin kick and pounds on Jericho in the corner as he whips him into the other corner, and he hits a monkey flip on Jericho and then he hits a standing moonsault for a two count as he grabs the arm and tags Kane. He kicks at Jericho and rams him into the buckle as he whips him into the corner and splashes him before whipping him back into the other corner, but Jericho catches him with a boot to the face and goes up to the middle rope only for Kane to catch him coming in with a clothesline. He hoists Jericho up in a choke and tosses him to the mat as he knocks Christian down and clotheslines him over the top to the floor, and Kane gets a kick in and presses Jericho up as he tosses him over the top onto Christian on the floor. RVD hits a somersault senton onto Jericho and Christian on the floor as he throws Jericho back into the ring, and Kane grabs Jericho by the throat and hits the chokeslam though the ref is outside as RVD and Christian brawl. Christian gets in the ring and Kane grabs him by the throat only for Christian to hit a low blow and he stomps on Kane repeatedly, and he pounds on him on the mat and chokes him as he continues to choke him in the corner until Kane reverses a whip into the corner. The match itself was good as both teams worked hard and put on a solid title match. Kane and RVD looked good as a team while Jericho and Christian were gelling well as a team, and they had good chemistry though the ending was a bit weak even though you knew Kane and RVD weren’t winning the titles. Final Analysis: Overall, this edition of RAW heading into Survivor Series was a pretty solid show to serve as a final build for the PPV. Both brands had solid matches for Survivor Series though obviously, a lot of focus was on the Elimination Chamber and this was the first time we really got an idea of what the match would be. We did have a title match as Jericho and Christian still rule the tag division while Kane, RVD, Jeff, Batista, 3-Minute Warning, Nowinski, Test, Richards, and Triple H get big wins, and in terms of the matches the opener was the best while the rest was pretty standard for TV. 2002 has been an interesting year to this point as Smackdown has proven to be superior for the last few months, but RAW has a legit chance to stake their claim as the better half at Survivor Series and we will see if it happens. As for this show, it is a pretty decent show to serve as a final build for the RAW side of Survivor Series. Final Grade: C+
